Eat & drink

Whether it’s sophisticated dining, contemporary bistros & delicious pub fare, cellar doors, or craft beer you are after, the North East has your taste buds covered.

Seasonal local produce

The kilnhouses are located in the Ovens Valley with a climate blessed with four distinct seasons and a heritage steeped in the Italian traditions that celebrate the making and sharing of good food.

This area is known for its prime beef and dairy, nuts of all kinds, berries, tomatoes, apples, olives, and of course grapes.

Foodie heaven

Visiting local produce markets and farm gates are a great way to sample seasonal fresh food as well as locally made jams and preserves, chocolate, oils and ice-creams.

On top of this we have a variety of fantastic restaurants and cafés in the area - it really is a foodie heaven.

Whether it’s wine, craft beer or locally distilled gin you’re after, the North East has you covered.

The 20 year old vines visible from each of the kilnhouses produce prosecco, tempranillo and vermentino. Our vineyard is tended to by Chris, Jo and Guy under the skilled guidance of Mark Walpole, 2024 Viticulturalist of the year. Our wines are made by talented local wine maker Jo Marsh who together with her husband Glenn James produce high quality wines under their own Billy Button label.

Our award winning Kilnhouse Row 8 wines are delicious and available for purchase.
